Bengkulu, August 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu (UM Bengkulu) has officially earned an Excellent<\/em> accreditation rating from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This prestigious recognition is stated in the Decree of the Executive Board Director of BAN-PT No. 2559\/SK\/BAN-PT\/Ak\/PT\/VIII\/2025, declaring that UM Bengkulu has met all requirements for the highest accreditation status. The accreditation certificate is valid from August 13, 2025, until August 13, 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rector of UM Bengkulu, Dr. Susiyanto, M.Si.,<\/strong> expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the achievement, emphasizing that the success was a result of collective effort and dedication.
\u201cThis is truly an extraordinary accomplishment. It is the fruit of our hard work, prayers, and unity. Congratulations to UM Bengkulu, and to all members of our academic community\u2014leaders, lecturers, staff, students, and alumni. This Excellent Accreditation proves our strong commitment to providing the best for society, especially for the young generation of Indonesia and the people of Bengkulu Province, so they can access high-quality education in their own region,\u201d<\/em> he said joyfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further added, \u201cThank you to all parties who have given tremendous support to UM Bengkulu. This accreditation is expected to strengthen public trust, enhance the competitiveness of our graduates, and broaden partnerships and funding opportunities for academic and research development. God willing, UM Bengkulu will remain committed to maintaining and improving institutional quality standards throughout the accreditation period.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chairman of the Daily Advisory Board (BPH) of UM Bengkulu, Dr. Syaifullah, M.Ag.,<\/strong> highlighted that the university holds a strategic mandate to educate and enlighten the nation. He affirmed that this achievement further strengthens UM Bengkulu\u2019s standing as a reputable higher education institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support and recognition also came from the Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region II, Prof. Dr. Iskhaq Iskandar, M.Sc.,<\/strong> who stated, \u201cThis Excellent Accreditation for UM Bengkulu is not only an achievement but also a reflection of its commitment and dedication to providing quality higher education for society.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Council for Higher Education, Research, and Development (Majelis Diktilitbang PP Muhammadiyah), Prof. Dr. Bambang Setiaji, M.Si.,<\/strong> congratulated UM Bengkulu for reaching the milestone, describing it as a proud moment for Muhammadiyah\u2019s higher education network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accreditation Assessment Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Prior to receiving the accreditation, UM Bengkulu underwent a comprehensive field assessment conducted by BAN-PT on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Senate Meeting Room, Rectorate Building, Campus 1. The BAN-PT assessment team consisted of Prof. Dr. Herri, SE., MBA.; Prof. Dr. Angkasa, S.H., M.Hum.; Prof. Dr. Dra. Dewi Susanna, M.Kes.;<\/strong> and Prof. Suparto, S.Ag., M.Ed., Ph.D.<\/strong> The team carried out an in-depth evaluation of UM Bengkulu\u2019s institutional performance, academic quality, and overall governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this accomplishment, UM Bengkulu has once again proven its commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement, strengthening its role as a leading higher education institution in Bengkulu and Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
